Assistant Village Administrator Piscia to Take on Finance Director's Post

Frankfort Assistant Village Administrator Rob Piscia will take over as finance director next year.

Frankfort Assistant Village Administrator Rob Piscia will start pulling double duty next year when he takes over for retiring Finance Director Sandy Babka.

"Rob will then essentially take those two positions," Mayor Jim Holland said during Monday night's village board meeting. "He will basically have twice as much work to do."

During the meeting, Holland announced that Babka had submitted a letter of resignation after 23 years of service.

"With the advice and consent of the village board, I have decided to appoint Asst. Administrator Rob Piscia to the finance director position upon Sandy's retirement," Holland wrote in his mayor's report to the board. "Rob will start to transition into the job immediately, by working with Sandy to ensure a smooth transition."

Babka will not leave the finance director's post until April 30, Holland said.

Before taking the assistant administrator's job in 2010, Piscia served as the village police chief. He was sworn in as chief in 2003.
