Why are you seeking office?

I have been actively invovled in many facets of the Frankfort Community since 1996. As the incumbent Village Clerk, I will continue to serve the residents of Frankfort in a positive, professional and responsive manner.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

I have a broad range of private/public service experience combined with a true desire to see Frankfort prosper for many, many years to come.

In you opinion, what are the primary challenges facing the village?

The primary challenges that exist today include:
errosion of value in the residential and commercial real estate markets;
lack of finacial stability in the State of Illinois and its negative effects on local schools and residents of Frankfort;
job creation for Lincoln-way area families;
cost effective and quality water delivery.

How will you address those challenges?

The real estate market will take many years to rebound as exisiting inventory needs to be absorbed and new construction needs to be jump started.
A combination of prudent government spending, manageable interest rates and positive growth needs to be pursued to create more businesses and jobs.
The Village is constantly monitoring its wells and evaluating ways to improve the water quality as residents have spoken that they want the Village to retain the municipal wells. The Village has installed more iron filters to improve the quality.

If elected, what will be your philosophy as a member of the village board?

I am an independent thinker, capable of working with others and understanding differences of opinion for the outcome that benefits Frankfort most.
