Why are you seeking office?

I am seeking office as a Library Trustee because it is the perfect opportunity for me to give back to the community while at the same time ensuring that the Library continues to provide for my community. The library is a great asset to our community and it is my desire to help it continue to be relevent.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

The most obvious thing that sets me apart from the other candidates is that I am a resident of the Library District’s Unincorporated area, not the Village of Frankfort. I have a paralegal certificate and am a Certified Human Resources Professional. I worked in the legal field for 19 years and have been in HR for almost four years.

If elected, what changes would you work toward within the library district?

I would work towards keeping the library current and relevant with the needs of the community. I will promote the creation of programs that will ensure the library remains a valued asset in our neighborhood.

What are the strengths of this library district?

The Frankfort Library district has continued to remain financially responsible. They are a hub for the community investing in programs for all ages. They are investing in technology to keep current for the patrons.

What areas of the district are most in need of improvement?

The library is bursting at its seams; improvement of space usage, and the strategic planning for such is an area that needs the most improvement.

Please add any other information pertinent to your campaign.

My family and I have been enjoying the library since we moved to the community in 1997. Our trips to the library and the programs it offers will always be fond memories for us. I am a huge advocate for the library and want to keep it a valuable asset in our community.
