Why are you seeking office?

My main reason for seeking office is simply to give my time and talent to Summit Hill School District 161 which has given so much to me and my family.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

The one quality that sets me apart from most people is my ability to work with people from all walks of life. I have spent my entire adult life working with people in a service capacity. In business, I have not been confined to an office or a closed environment. I have been “out there” working with people from all walks of life. I am not afraid to walk up to someone that I don't know and have a candid conversation.

In your opinion, what are the primary challenges facing this district?

In my opinion, the primary challenge facing the district is the fact that difficult financial decisions need to be made going forward. There clearly needs to be a board that is comprised of individuals that can objectively analyze facts and make decisions accordingly.

How will you address those challenges?

I will address these challenges by facing them head on. I will work with all board members and administration, gathering all the facts available, analyzing them objectively, and then making an informed decision. I will state my decision and I will explain how I came to such decision. Most importantly, I will use facts to make decisions.

If elected, what will be your philosophy as a board member?

My philosophy as a board member will be to be an open minded board member, considering all suggestions, making decisions based on all available facts and information, always in the best interest of all members of the community.
