The tax rate must stay where it is today.
The township should never live beyond its means and also should save some funds for the needs of the future.

Current Occupation and Employer:

I am an electrical contractor and the owner of Ebert Electric in Mokena. I am also a Frankfort Township Trustee.

Political Party Affiliation: Republican

Why are you seeking office?

My family has a long history in Frankfort Township.
My paternal great-grandfather settled in the area in the 1850s. He later donated part of his farm to create the original one-room Summit Hill School. Other relatives have sat on local school, village and township boards.
While following in their footsteps, I have served on the Mokena grade school board as a member and president. I also have been president of the Lincoln-Way Band Boosters and helped create the S.A.I.M. card. Public service is very important to me.
If reelected, I would like to continue to help the township's residents by providing senior housing, stocking the food pantry and being fiscally responsible with the taxpayers' dollars.

What sets you apart from the other candidates?

While working in the community as a small business owner and serving on various boards and committees, I have developed meaningful relationships with other local leaders. I know how to work with them to get the job done.
I believe it is truly important to listen to other people and understand their point of view. If reelected, I always will keep and open mind.

In your opinion, what are the primary challenges facing the township?

Despite decreased resources, the township must continue to provide important services for its residents.

How will you address those challenges?

We must continue to be a careful steward of the taxpayers' dollars.

If elected, what will be your philosophy as a member of the township board?

Fiscal responsibility is my philosophy.

Please add any other information pertinent to your campaign.

I also am proud to be a U.S. Army veteran. From 1966 to 1969, I was in the Army Medical Corps stationed at Walter Reed Army Medical Center In Washington, D.C.
