Hair-Pulling After Sex Refusal Leads to Arrest

When a Frankfort woman refused to have sex with Mark Loven, the Mokena man pulled her hair and screamed at her.

Mark Loven, 24, of the 9900 block of Sussex Court in Mokena, was charged with battery for insisting on sex from a 20-year-old Frankfort woman and then pulling her hair when she refused.

According to police reports, Loven and the woman on Feb. 8 had left a home in the 10800 block of W. LaPorte Road; they were en route to a store for snacks. While the woman was driving, Loven reportedly insisted on sex. She refused.

The woman, according to police, said when she refused the man, he grabbed her by the hair and attempted to bang her head into the steering wheel. She said Loven was screaming at her.
