Unknown persons broke into a residence on the 7500 block of W. Lakeside Drive in Frankfort. Gold coins and jewelry were stolen.

Second Masked Robbery at Frankfort Circle K

Deputies responded at 4:26 a.m. to an armed robbery in progress at Shell Circle K at 7654 W. Lincoln Hwy in Frankfort.

The attendant said that at 4:24 a.m. a man entered the store wearing a face-covering mask with eyes that looked like those of a bug or alien. The masked man pointed a silver semi-automatic handgun at the attendant and placed a mesh bad on the store counter. The attendant gave the masked man approximately $120 from the register and the robber ran from the store.

The masked man was described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and of a slender build. Store personnel said that the offender had a similar appearance to the person who robbed the store last week in a Freddy Krueger mask.

The robbery remains under investigation.

Equipment Stolen from Electrician’s Truck in Mokena

An employee of MJ Electric said that an unknown person entered a company truck while the employee was completing power line work at S. 116th Avenue and Owens Road in Mokena.

The unknown person pried open a storage panel door on the truck and stole ground wire, two strap hoists, three pulling grips, a fiberglass stick, a voltage tester and a 500 foot rope.

Tools Stolen From Truck in Frankfort

An unknown person entered a truck on the 7200 block of W. Hickory Creek Drive in Frankfort and stole numerous tools.
