Verdict Delayed in Frankfort Cop's Domestic Battery Case

The judge's decision was scheduled for Friday but was pushed back to next week.

A Will County judge said he would announce his verdict in a Frankfort cop's felony domestic battery case Friday but will instead take a few more days before handing down his decision.

Donald Walsh, 30, will learn his fate Tuesday when he again appears before Judge Edward Burmila.

Walsh faces charges of aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery. He allegedly headbutted his girlfriend, 33-year-old Jillian Fredericks, then punched and choked her in July 2012.

Walsh's attorney, Steven Haney, claims Fredericks actually attacked Walsh after she questioned him about another woman.
