Golf Cart Damaged, But a Solution is Worked Out
The Will County Sheriff's Office was called about a damaged golf cart at Green Garden Country Club in the 9500 block of Monee-Manhattan Road. A course employee told officers that a golf cart canopy was bent and twisted after a foursome paid greens fees with a cart at 7:15 a.m. However, a member of the foursome was contacted about the damage, and an agreement was reached to pay for it. The sheriff's office does not know how the canopy was damaged, the report stated.

Culprit Behind Charred Grass? Might be Fireworks
About 36 square yards of grass on a Lincoln-Way North High School baseball field on the school's northwest corner was burned some time between July 15-18. Deputies believe fireworks might be the cause of the fire, according to the report.
Jewelry, Other Items Taken in Home Robbery
Jewelry and hair straightener was stolen from a house in the 8200 block of West Lincoln Highway.
