Police: Suspicious Van Followed Girl Home

Frankfort police issued an alert to village residents Friday concerning a report of a man who allegedly tracked a child to her house.

issued an alert Friday concerning a report of a white van that allegedly followed a child home Wednesday, Sept. 14, in the areas of Lincoln Lane and the Butternut subdivision. 

The van's driver was described as a man in his 50s to 60s with a full, fuzzy, light gray-and-black beard, wearing a small, black knit winter hat, the police alert said. The white van had a sticker on the back and was described as a conversion-type van with sliding doors on both sides.

The driver didn't try to talk to the child, but he allegedly followed her until she reached her home, the report added.
