Police Blotter: Woman Stopped for Speeding, Caught With Stolen Car

TUESDAY, AUG. 2

Mokena Woman Caught with Stolen Car

Heather R. Lee, 24, of the 11000 block of Daniel Trail in Mokena, was charged with felony possession of a stolen car, speeding, disobeying a traffic sign, driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license and no insurance after a traffic stop in the 11100 block of Lincoln Highway. Lee is currently being held at the Will County Jail on $1,000 bail.

Lee was pulled over just before 3 a.m. for running a stop sign and speeding by Frankfort police, according to the report. When the officer ran her license plates, he found the car she was driving—a tan 2002 Chrysler 300—had been reported stolen around 10 p.m. Aug. 1, to the Mokena Police Department by a woman in the 19600 block of Greenview Avenue in Mokena.

MONDAY, AUG. 1

Door-to-door Salesman Needed to Register With Police

Price Williams, 45, of the 2900 block of Keystone Road in North Traverse City, Mich., and Devon I. Martin, 29, of the 6100 block of Will Clayton Parkway in Humble, Texas, were charged with soliciting without registration for selling magazines door to door in the 22700 block of Princeton Court. No permit is needed to sell items door to door, but a village ordinance requires merchants to register with the police department.

SUNDAY, JULY 31

Three Chicago Teens Caught with Alcohol, Pot

Jason J. Reilly, 19, of the 10800 block of South Troy Street in Chicago, and a 17-year-old Chicago boy were charged with underage drinking after an incident at the intersection of Harlem Avenue and Laraway Road. The Chicago teen also was charged with possession of marijuana. A 17-year-old Posen boy who was with Reilly and the other teen was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. He was transported to the Will County Jail.

SATURDAY, JULY 30

Chicago Heights Man Charged with DUI

Reggai L. Jordan, 21, of the 109 block of East 23rd Street in Chicago Heights, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding, improper lane use and driving without a valid license after being pulled over around Lincoln Highway and Washington Parkway.

Frankfort Man Needs a New Place to Drive ATV

William O. Teach, 42, of the 11300 block of Laura Lane in Frankfort, was charged for the unlawful operation of an off-road vehicle after being stopped around Laraway and Wolf roads. Teach was driving an all-terrain vehicle, which are not allowed in the village.
