Duo Give Wrong Names to Avoid Being Picked Up on Minnesota Warrants

William J. Cofield, 27, of Harvey, and Shanice D. Crum, 27, of the 7900 block of South Langley Avenue in Chicago, were arrested on outstanding warrants from Minnesota and charged with felony obstruction of justice by providing false identification after an incident in the 7500 block of Lincoln Highway. Cheetara Edwards, 25, of the 6200 block of South Ashland Avenue in Chicago, was charged with misdemeanor resisting a peace officer during the same incident. Cofield and Crum were book into Will County Jail where they are being held on $500 bail each. Their next court dates are Monday, Dec. 12. Edwards was released on bond, with a court date of Dec. 28.

Items Stolen From Locked Car

A report was filed of undisclosed items stolen from a locked vehicle in a business parking in the 10800 block of Laraway Road.

Frankfort Man Charged With Battery

Robert D. Ferneau, 40, of the 200 block of North Maple St., was charged with battery for pushing a friend of his son's. Ferneau's next court date is Jan. 12.

Christmas Decorations Damaged

A resident in the 23000 block of Devonshire Lane reported damage to outdoor Christmas decorations.

Traffic Stop Leads to Pot, Other Charges for Tinley Park Man

Sebastian Z. Zydek, 20, of the 17000 block of Ridgeland Ave. of Tinley Park, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance and driving with a suspended registration because of no insurance after being pulled over near LaGrange Road and Lincoln Highway. His next court date is Jan. 9.

Frankfort Resident Charged for Not Paying Cab Fare

Chigozirm S. Azuonye, 41, of the 22400 block of Woodland Lane in Frankfort, was charged with theft for refusing to pay for a cab ride home.
