Police Blotter: Swastika Vandalism, Shots Fired and Deer Stolen

Frankfort Police Department and Will County Sheriff's Office reports, April 27 - May 3.

MONDAY, APRIL 25

Teens Cited for Underage Drinking 

Kazi A. Jazo, 18, of the 8200 block of West Auburn Lane in Frankfort, and Luke S. Waldier, 18, of the 8800 block of Glenshire in Tinley Park were cited for resisting a police officer and underage consumption of alcohol for an incident that reportedly occurred in the 10900 block of Pioneer Trail. The teens have a May 12 court date.

Swastika Appears on Company Vehicle 

Someone reportedly spray-painted a black swastika on the rear quarter panel of a company vehicle while it was parked in front of a residence in the 19000 block of South Skye Drive.

Mokena Woman Arrested on DUI charges

Karen L. Cozzi, age 36, of the 200oo block of East Brightway Drive in Mokena was arrested and charged with DUI, DUI over the legal limit, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after she struck another vehicle that had stopped in front of her on West Francis and North Vine streets in New Lenox, according to police.

FRIDAY, APRIL 29

Deputies Respond to Shots Fired Report

Someone from the 11000 block of West Stuenkel Road in Frankfort reported that 20 rounds were fired in a northerly direction while the subject was east of her residence. The person with the gun then got into a white pickup truck and drove off, according to reports. 

SATURDAY, APRIL 30

Oh Dear, What Happened to the Deer?

In the 10000 block of West Silver Lake, someone stole a 2-foot tall concrete deer from a Frankfort residence. In the 10000 block of West Butterfield Drive, a concrete bald eagle and a 300-pound deer was reported stolen from the front lawn of a home.

Darien Man Cited for DUI, Illegal Transport of Alcohol

Dennis G. Murphy, 47, of the 8400 block of Captons Lane in Darien was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol, DUI and blood alcohol level over .08, as well as an improper turn. He's scheduled to appear in court June 2.

SUNDAY, MAY 1

Arrest on DUI and Related Charges

 Kelly A. Thomas, 23, of the 6300 block of Catalina in Oak Forest, was arrested on charges of DUI, DUI over the legal limit, and improper lane usage at West 191st Street and South LaGrange Road in Frankfort.
