WEDNESDAY, NOV. 16

Frankfort Teen Served With Traffic Warrant

Sarah L. Smith, 19, of the 22000 block of Princeton Drive, was served with an outstanding Will County failure-to-appear warrant for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop near the intersection of Laraway Road and Regency Drive.

Hazel Crest Woman Faces Pot Charges

Audrey P. Sims, 20, of the 17000 block of Elm Drive in Hazel Crest, was charged with possession of marijuana after an incident near the intersection of Brookside Lane and Elsner Road. Sims's next court date is Dec. 12.

Melrose Park Man Charged With Retail Theft

Thomas S. Giacobbe, 49, of the 500 block of Andy Drive in Melrose Park, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft, police said, accusing him of taking about $200 in merchandise from Walgreen's in the 9500 block of Lincoln Highway.

SATURDAY, NOV. 12

Mokena Man Resists Officer During DUI Arrest 

Marvin C. Pasia, 38, of the 19500 block of Beechnut Drive in Mokena, was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use and resisting a peace officer after a traffic stop in the 19600 block of LaGrange Road. After pulling Pasia over and determining he was too drunk to continue driving, Pasia was asked to get out of the car and put his hands behind his back, said Cmdr. Kevin Keegan. Pasia refused and pushed away the officer, who then put the suspect in an armbar hold and drove him to the ground where he continued to tense up and pull away, Keegan said. The officer eventually subdued Paisa, who refused medical attention and was taken to the Frankfort Police station. Pasia's next court date is Dec. 1.

Resident Reports House Damage

A resident in the 8000 block of Stanley Trail reported damage to the exterior of resident's house.

Mistubishi Reported Stolen

A resident reported a 2005 Mitsubishi four-door car stolen from a business parking lot in the 100 block of Industry Avenue.

Teens Charged With Retail Theft

Two 15-year-old Frankfort males were charged with retail theft. The are accused of stealing from Walt's Food Center on LaGrange Road.
