THURSDAY, JUNE 2

UPDATE: Police Await Test Results for Pills Found in Man's Car

James P. Goutos, 24, was of a firearm without proper ID, driving with a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor charge of possession of anabolic steroids.

Cmdr. Kevin Keegan said Thursday that Goutos told police the 55 blue pills found in his car were steroids, but authorities are waiting on test results for confirmation. Police also discovered two hypodermic needles in Goutos' car, as well as a .22 caliber revolver, Keegan said. Goutos is scheduled to appear in court June 8.

MONDAY, MAY 30

Teen Arrested for Battery, Underage Drinking

Cody S. Wdowikowski, 19, of the 22500 block of South Center Road, was arrested on misdemeanor charges of battery and consumption of alcohol by a minor. Wdowikowski got into an altercation and struck a 20-year-old male on the side of the head, police said. The 20-year-old went to Silver Cross Hospital for further treatment. Wdowikowski was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court June 22.

Man Cited after Bike Accident

James Fregeau, 29, of the 9200 block of Maura Court, was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian after he was backing out of his driveway, heard a scream and saw a 37-year-old woman on the ground next to a bike, according to reports. It was later determined the cyclist did not come in contact with the vehicle, but locked up her front brakes upon seeing the vehicle move toward her, the report said. The victim reportedly flew over her handlebars and landed in the yard and was transported to Olympia Fields for non-life-threatening injuries.

SATURDAY, MAY 28

Matteson Woman Caught Speeding, Driving with Suspended License

Karen M. Williams, 47, of Matteson was cited for driving with a suspended license, speeding and improper use of registration, according to police reports.

Man Nabbed for Drug Paraphernalia Charge

David Flagler, 19, of the 600 block of Fairway Lane was issued a notice to appear for possession of drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to appear in court July 14.
