Police Blotter: Man Arrested on Gun, Steroids Charges; Copper, Yard Art Disappears

MONDAY, MAY 23
$1,500 Worth of Copper Disappears from Truck
Thieves made off with two barrels with 250 pounds, valued at $1,500, of copper wire from the bed of a truck in the 19000 block of South Woodruff Court, according to police.

Gun, Steroids Found During Arrest
James P. Goutos, 24, of the 200 block of Walnut Street, Frankfort, was cited for possession of a firearm without proper ID, driving with a suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor charge of possession of anabolic steroids, according to police reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court June 8.

Brama Bull Skull Yard Art Goes Missing
A Brama Bull Skull decoration, valued at $70, went missing from the front yard of a home in the 10000 block of West Turnberry Drive, according to reports. Described as about 2.5 feet in length, the skull is mostly blue and had the words "Last Stand" across the brow line.
Public Display of Intoxication
Adalberto Avitia, 28, of the 2000 block of West 35th Street in Chicago, was cited for public intoxication in the 21000 block of Frankfort Square Road. A court date has been set for June 9.
Arrest on Drug Charges
Richard G. Edge Jr., 22, of the 7800 block of West Laurel Drive, Frankfort, was arrested on charges of possession of cannabis under 30 grams and possession of drug equipment.

Keyed in the Parking Lot
A Frankfort woman reported to Mokena police that while she was in BrookHaven Market Place, 19800 S LaGrange Rd., the driver's side door of her car had been scratched with a key. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.

Oak Forest Man Arrested on DUI Charges
Michael A. Baker, 49, of the 15000 block of Walnut Road in Oak Forest was cited for DUI and failure to signal in the 20000 block of LaGrange Road, according to reports. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court June 7.
