New Lenox Police Stop Frankfort Man for DUI, Drug Possession

William Quackenbush, 46, of the 200 block of Pacific Street in Frankfort, was stopped by New Lenox Police after they say he ran a red light at Laraway Road and Calistoga Drive in New Lenox at about 4:30 p.m. Police questioned him and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of marijuana.

Joliet Man Charged With Felony Forgery

Jason C. Betancourt, 33, of the 2200 block of West Jefferson Street in Joliet, was arrested for felony forgery after he admitted to Frankfort Police during a traffic stop near 80th Avenue and Laraway Road that he created phony receipts to return stolen merchandise to area retail stores for their full value, according to reports. He is currently in custody at Will County Jail on $3,000 bail. His next court date is June 19.
