The Will County Sheriff's Office reported that 200 to 300 feet of copper pipes were stolen from an unoccupied house in the 7500 block of West Inverness Lane.

Privacy Fence Takes a Beating From Unknown Assailants

A resident in the 19000 block of South Edinburgh Lane reported damage to her 6-foot privacy fence after hearing a large bang outside her house and witnessing three people fleeing, according to police reports.

Failure to Pull Over, Outstanding Warrant Lands Woman in Jail

Helen C. Iwuchukwu, 50, of the 2070 block of Cardinal Court in Frankfort, was charged with resisting an officer, driving with an expired registration sticker, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance after Will County Sheriff deputies said they tried to pulled her over at LaGrange Road and Colorado Avenue. Iwuchukwu would not stop and continued driving into her driveway, eventually pulling into her garage, police said. A deputy was able to enter her garage before the door closed, according to reports. Iwuchukwu refused to comply with several orders given by deputies and was eventually taken into custody, police said. Iwuchukwu also was held on a failure-to-appear warrant from the State Police, according to reports. She posted $300 bond and was released Jan. 29, reports said.

Frankfort Man Charged With DUI

Joseph J. Stariha, 43, of the 300 block of West Nebraska Street in Frankfort, was charged with driving under the influence and improper lane use after a traffic stop between Lincoln Highway and 82nd Avenue, according to police.
