SUNDAY, MARCH 13

New Lenox Woman Faces Meth, Theft Charges 

Christina M. Sepsis, 31, of the 200 block of Haines Avenue in New Lenox, was charged with felony unlawful possession of methamphetamine and felony retail theft at Kohl's in the 11000 block of Lincoln Highway. Sepsis fled from Frankfort officers and was later picked up by the New Lenox Police Department and returned to Frankfort Police, according to the report. She was then booked into Will County Jail.

Friday, March 11

Man Drives Off With $62 of Gas 

The Will County Sheriff's Office received a report from the Gas City service station in the 19700 block of South Harlem Avenue of a man between the ages of 40 and 50 with a long coat pumping $62 worth of gas into his vehicle and then leaving without paying.

THURSDAY, MARCH 10

Frankfort Man Reports Stolen Signs

A Frankfort man in the 9300 block of West St. Francis Road reported to the Will County Sheriff's Office that someone stole two signs from his property. The signs measure 4-by-8 feet, with one reading "For Sale 2 Acres" and the other reading "Viola Woods." The man told the sheriff's office he suspected Frankfort Township or Village of Frankfort employees took them, according to the sheriff's report. The man later found his signs in a pile of garbage at the Frankfort garage on 100 Sangmeister Drive, the report said.

Teen Faces Felony Charges

Ryan A. Smith, 17, of the 8700 block of West St. Francis Road in Frankfort, faces felony charges of residential burglary, unlawful restraint, aggravated unlawful use of weapon and criminal trespass after an incident in the 500 block of Lincoln Lane. He was taken to the Will County Jail and posted $75,000 bail March 14. His next court date is April 4.

Police Serve Woman With County Warrant

Sarah L. Smith, 19, of the 22000 block of Princeton Circle in Frankfort, was served with a Will County warrant at her home. She was released on bond.

Frankfort Cited for Swerving

Wendy M. Benavides, 35, of the 22500 block of Crimson Lane in Frankfort, was charged with DUI, improper lane usage, operating an insured motor vehicle and no valid registration. Police said they stopped Benavides’ car near the 16300 block of LaGrange Road around 9 p.m. for swerving between lanes.
