Fight Leads to Battery Charges for Road Ragers

Donald D. Golden, 41, of the 500 block of Illinois Road in Frankfort, was charged with battery and criminal damage to property, and Peter De Christopher, 49, of the 16200 block of South McGrath Drive in Plainfield, was charged with battery after a traffic altercation in the 9300 block of Laraway Road.

Golden and De Christopher were backed up in a line of cars on Laraway Road as a truck was unloading sod, said Frankfort Police Cmdr. Kevin Keegan. De Christopher then drove on the center median and pulled into a business parking lot where he had to make a delivery, Keegan added. According to De Christopher's account, Golden walked up to the truck, broke off a rear-view mirror and shattered it on the ground, Keegan said. De Christopher threw a tape measure at Golden, and the two began to push and shove each other before police arrived.

No one was injured, Keegan said.

Christmas Decorations Stolen From Yard

A resident in the 22100 block of Clove Drive reported stolen outside Christmas decorations valued at less than $300.

Vandals Damage Christmas Figurines

Twelve illuminated Christmas figurines and a 100-feet of large bulb decorations in the 20000 block of South Mallory Drive were reported vandalized to the Will County Sheriff's Office.

Frankfort Man Arrested for DUI in Plainfield

Kathleen Yarbrough, 56, of the 7700 block of West Grovewood Lane, was arrested by the Plainfield Police Department at about 7:15 p.m. Dec. 16 at Main Street and Penn Road and charged with driving under the influence. 

THURSDAY, DEC. 15

Alsip Man Faces Drug Charge

Eric R. Eckstrom, 27, of the 12000 block of South Avers Court in Alsip, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident at the intersection of Aspen Street and Colorado Avenue. His next court date is Jan. 12.
