TUESDAY, AUG. 9

Mokena Teen Faces DUI, Driving Charges

Derek J. Grossheider, 19, of the 19900 block of Anna Street in Mokena, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding, driving with a suspended license and illegal consumption of alcohol by minor after a traffic stop in the 200 block of Colorado Avenue.

Police Don't Take Kindly to Tinley Man Leaving Dog in Car 

Kyle A. Southwick, 59, of the 17200 block of South 68th Court in Tinley Park, was charged with cruelty to animals after leaving his dog locked in a car in a public parking lot in the 20500 block of LaGrange Road. Police responded to a call from someone who saw the dog in the car.

Traffic Stop Leads to DUI Charge for Monee Man 

Dalton J. Dobesh, 20, of the 26000 block of South Green Castle in Monee, was charged with driving under the influence, disobeying a traffic control device and speeding after a traffic stop at the intersection of Gulfstream and Center roads.

FRIDAY, AUG. 5

Tinley Park Woman Charged for Pot, Served with Warrant 

Ashley E. French, 22, of the 17300 block of 64th Court in Tinley Park, was charged with possession of marijuana and driving with an expired license and no insurance after being pulled over in the 11100 block of Lincoln Highway. She also was served on an outstanding warrant in Livingston County.

THURSDAY, AUG. 4

New Lenox Man Faces Drug, Traffic Charges 

Robert W. Russell, 24, of the 110 block of South Prairie Road in New Lenox, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, failure to signal and driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop in the 11000 block of Lincoln Highway.

Three L-W Teens Caught Stealing From Kohl's 

Three Lincoln-Way teens were charged with retail theft at Kohl's, 11055 W. Lincoln Hwy. Store security observed the teens—a 13-year-old Mokena boy, a 14-year-old Frankfort boy and a 15-year-old Frankfort boy—stealing about $200 in merchandise, according to the police report. Security apprehended the boys until police arrived.

Frankfort Man Charged with Public Intoxication 

Thomas P. Woods, 43, of the 9200 block of West Franklin Avenue in Frankfort, was charged with public intoxication after an incident around 92nd Avenue and Ginger Lane.

MONDAY, AUG. 1

Orland Police Charge Frankfort Man with Criminal Trespass

Timothy A. Jensen, 20, of the 8500 block of Highstone Way in Frankfort, was charged with criminal trespass and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. Orland Park Police received a suspicious person call around midnight. The caller saw a car driving up and down the 10500 block of Great Egret Drive, police said. Sometime later, the caller saw Jensen lying on the driveway, according to the report. Jensen was being driven by a friend to the department but jumped out of the car, according to the report. He was later apprehended by Frankfort police and transferred back to Orland. The Orland officer determined Jensen had been drinking.
