Police Blotter: Crest Hill Man Wishes He Hand Nothing Up His Sleeve

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 9

Chicago Man Served With Warrant

Jerry D. Watkins, 25, of the 8000 block of South Ingleside Avenue in Chicago, was served with an outstanding failure-to-appear warrant issued by the Chicago Police Department after a traffic stop near the intersection of Lincoln Highway and Raintree Lane.

Two Men Face Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

Daniel M. Czerwinski, 20, of the 14900 block of South Arboretum Drive in Homer Glen, and, David Bucio, 21, of the 11700 block of Mark Lane in Orland Park, were were charged with possession of marijuana after a traffic stop near the intersection of Colorado Avenue and Friar Way. Czerwinksi also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to signal.

SATURDAY, NOV. 5

Crest Hill Man Faces Pot, Traffic Charges

Zachery S. Sosa, 27, of the 1600 block of Cora Street in Crest Hill, was charged with felony possession of marijuana, speeding, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance after a traffic stop near the intersection of 80th Avenue and Laraway Road. Sosa was pulled over for speeding on Laraway by a Frankfort police officer, said Commander Kevin Keegan. Before approaching the car, the officer could see the driver trying to conceal something, Keegan said. The officer was overwhelmed by the smell of marijuana when he reached the car, and he asked Sosa to step out to the rear of the vehicle. When he was asked if he had drugs, Sosa said yes, and the officer noticed a plastic bag coming out of Sosa's right sleeve. The bag contained 30 grams of marijuana, and the officer then found another 4 grams on Sosa, Keegan said. Sosa was arrested and booked into Will County Jail.

FRIDAY, NOV. 4

Matteson Man Charged With Theft

Quntion M. Jackson, 18, of the 140 block of Central Avenue in Matteson, was charged with retail theft of items valued at less than $150 for an incident in the 11000 block of Lincoln Highway. Jackson's next court date is Dec. 8.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 2

Lawn Mowers Stolen From Trailer

Two lawn mowers and mower baggers were reported stolen from a storage trailer at a landscaping business in the 23000 block of South 88th Avenue.

Wallet Lifted From Purse

A wallet was reported stolen from a purse inside a retail business in the 20800 block of LaGrange Road.
