Mokena Man Admits to Breaking Ex-Girlfriend's Car Window
Michael P. Roache, 22, of the 19400 block of Kylemore Lane in Mokena, was charged with criminal destruction of property after he admitted to breaking the rear driver's-side window of his ex-girlfriend's red Ford Focus, said Frankfort Police Cmdr. Kevin Keegan. The ex-girlfriend told police that Roache was upset she was dating his friend, and a witness described to officers a car similar to Roache's near the victim's home in the 10700 block of Ashford Avenue, Keegan said. The responding officer also found a piece of plastic from an ice scraper that had fingerprints on it, the commander said. A department detective followed up with Roache, who confessed to breaking the window, Keegan said. His court date is Feb. 9.

Resident Reports Fraudulent Debit Card Charges
A resident in the 20000 block of South Driftwood Drive reported to the Will County Sheriff's Office that his debit card was illegally used to make two online purchases totaling more than $1,100.
