Police Accuse Parking Lot Squatters From Frankfort of Cocaine, Pot Possession

Tinley Park Police officers said they walked up to occupants of a suspicious vehicle over the weekend and spotted a white powdery substance, a CD case and a credit card.

said they happened upon a vehicle in a local parking lot over the weekend in which three people were possibly about to ingest cocaine. 

Officers said they approached a red Pontiac sedan around 9:35 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Odyssey Sports Bar, 6701 South St., Tinley Park. A woman was behind the wheel, one man was in the passenger seat and another man was in the back seat, according to the report.

"I approached the suspect vehicle on foot at the front passenger door," an officer wrote in the report. "I observed a (man) with a CD case, gift card and a white powdery substance in his lap."

The officer knocked on the window and the man, later identified as Jonathan M. Ruple, 24, of the 8200 block of West Norwood in Frankfort, reportedly placed the items under his seat. Police took the drugs, which field tested positive for cocaine, into evidence. Ruple was arrested and led into the squad car, the report said.

The driver of the vehicle, Sara C. Glim, 30, of the 20100 block of Hampton Court in Frankfort, turned over three bags of marijuana and a metal pipe when asked if she had any drugs on her, the report said. The bags contained 2.1 grams of weed, police said.  

Ruple was charged with possession of a controlled substance and Glim was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
