Multiple Police Officers Required to Arrest Volatile Man

Thomas P. Badie was arrested after he refused to leave The Wild Rover and police discovered cannabis on his person.

An Orland Park man faces multiple charges after he refused to leave a local bar and physically resisted arrest.

Thomas P. Badie, 32, of the 14100 block of S. 88th Avenue in Orland Park, is charged with cannabis possession, drug paraphernalia possession and resisting or obstructing a police officer.

Frankfort police responded at 12:58 a.m. Feb. 17 to a report of a customer, Badie, at The Wild Rover, on La Grange Road, who was refusing to leave.

When police spoke to Badie, he was swaying and slurring his speech, according to police reports. He also smelled of cannabis.

A pat down revealed 5.8 grams of cannabis in a Ziploc freezer bag and three glass pipes with burnt residue on Badie’s person.

According to reports, when the officers attempted to arrest Badie, he shouted, physically resisted police and acted in a volatile manner. Multiple officers were required to assist in order to place him under arrest.

His court date is March 14.
