Frankfort Cops Release Burglary Locations: Frankfort Police Blotter

The police released the locations of six recent break-ins.

Jan. 13

  • Two wallets were stolen from purses in a restaurant in the 11000 block of Lincoln Highway.

Jan. 16

  • Gregory McCarney, 51, of 1519 Eunice Ave. in Joliet was stopped about 2:30 p.m. near the corner of Laraway and Scheer roads. McCarney was charged with driving while license suspended, suspended registration and no insurance.
  • Sharmika Edwards, 27, of 478 Fairway Lane in University Park was arrested about 10 p.m. near the corner of 84th Avenue and Francis Road on a Will County warrant. Edwards was released on bond.

  • A 17-year-old girl was pulled over shortly before 11 p.m. near the corner of Harlem Avenue and Sauk Trail and charged with improper lane usage and possession of drug equipment. During the same incident, Samantha Lakie, 19, of 9324 Rachel Court in Orland Hills was charged with  possession of cannabis and possession of drug equipment.
  • Nicholas Gazda, 31, of 528 Lincoln Lane in Frankfort was arrested on a Will County warrant shortly before midnight in the 20600 block of Lincoln-Way Lane. Gazda was released on bond.

Jan. 20

  • Burglaries were reported in the 7200 block of Southwick Court, the 22600 block of Stanford Drive, the 8300 block of Brookhaven Drive, the 7300 block of Southwick Drive, the 7200 block of Southwick Drive and the 22500 block of Parkview Lane.
