Frankfort Cop's Felony Domestic Battery Case Pushed Back Again

The felony trial of Frankfort Police Officer Donald Walsh was delayed again.

For the third straight date, the felony domestic battery trial of Frankfort Police Officer Donald Walsh was postponed.

Walsh's trial began Nov. 21 and featured testimony from two friends of his former girlfriend, Jillian Fredericks, but has been on hold since.

The trial was scheduled to resume Tuesday but was called off due to a death in the family of Will County Judge Edward Burmila, an official said.

Walsh, 30, faces charges of aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery. He allegedly headbutted Fredericks, then punched and choked her in July 2012.

Walsh's attorney, Steven Haney, claims Fredericks actually attacked Walsh after asking him questions about another woman.
