Homeowner Possible Victim of Ruse Burglary

are investigating a ruse burglary in the 19900 block of Crystal Lake Way after a homeowner was distracted by a male suspect while another suspect stole items from the house, Deputy Chief Kevin Keegan said. The suspect came to the homeowner's door, asking about doing concrete work, Keegan said.

Richton Park Woman Charged With Felony Retail Theft

Tiffany L. Parham, 32, of the 22400 block of Butterfield Drive in Richton Park, was charged with felony retail theft after a security officer saw Parham leave a fitting room with more than $500 worth of merchandise in an oversized purse, Deputy Chief Kevin Keegan said. The security officer saw Parham go into a fitting room with a very large purse, as well as numerous items of clothing, Keegan said. The officer then said he noticed Parham leave the fitting without any of the clothing but with her purse bulging, Keegan said. That's when Frankfort Police were contacted, and officers arrested her and booked her in to Will County Jail. She was released on bond, and her next court date is July 23, according to court records.

Teens Charged With Residential Burglary

Two 15-year-old boys—one from Frankfort, the other from Mokena—were charged with residential burglary after Frankfort Police detectives connected them to a stolen vehicle and coin collection from a residence in the 21400 block of Murphy Circle, Deputy Chief Kevin Keegan said. Police received a report from the homeowner on June 23, and the suspects were taken in to custody June 25 and brought to River Valley Juvenile Center, Keegan said.
