Battery to Senior Citizen Charge for Mokena Man: Blotter

MONDAY, APRIL 22

Felony Theft Charge for Crest Hill Man

Alvaro M. Rodriguez, 22, of the 1900 block of Sybil Drive, Crest Hill, was charged with felony retail theft, according to a report. He was arrested in the 1900 block of LaGrange Road and taken to Will County jail. Bail was set at $30,000. His next court date is May 14.

Battery to Senior Citizen

Benjamin Draus, 42, of the 9700 block of Forestview Drive in Mokena, was charged with felony aggravated battery to a senior citizen and aggravated battery in a public place, according to a report. He was arrested near the intersection of Highland Road and Sauk Trail and was taken to Will County jail. Bail was set at $40,000. He was released on April 23.

MONDAY, APRIL 15

Burglary Charges for Schaumburg Residents

Katarzyna Lewicki, 33, and Robert M. Calaway, 32, both of the 1300 block of Cambia Drive, Schaumburg, were charged with burglary, according to a report. Calaway also was charged with identity theft. Both were arrested in the 20500 block of LaGrange Road.
