UPDATE: Woman Injured in Crash Between Two SUVs

The accident happened around noon Wednesday near the intersection of Colorado Avenue and LaGrange Road.

A woman was injured Wednesday in an accident between two SUVs at the intersection of Colorado Avenue and LaGrange Road.

The accident happened around 11:55 a.m. when the driver of a blue Ford Escape, going southbound on LaGrange, turned east on to Colorado and collided with a silver Chevrolet Equinox also turning on to the avenue, according to Commander Kevin Keegan on Thursday.

The driver of the Escape, a 49-year-old female, complained of neck pain and was transported to Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet by an ambulance from the , Keegan said. No more information about the woman was available, he added.

Police cited the driver of the Escape for improper turn because the Equinox had the right of way at the time, Keegan said.
