Armed Suspects Invade a Frankfort Home (UPDATE)

One suspect was armed with a knife and another was believed to be armed with a firearm.

Updated 12:15 p.m. Thursday

Frankfort Deputy Police Chief Kevin Keegan released a composite sketch of one of three suspects in the 5:48 a.m. home invasion in the 1000 block of Prestwick Drive.

He said two of the suspects concealed their faces with bandanas throughout, but one did not. A sketch artist from the Will County Sheriff's Department captured the suspect's likeness. He is described as being "6-foot tall, approximately 20 years of age with stocky build. The suspect did not conceal his face and was unarmed."

"The victims were unable to complete composites of other two suspects as they concealed their faces," according to Keegan.

Police conducted a canvas of the area and determined there is no direct danger because the suspects had fled the scene.

Anyone with information about the home invasion is asked to call Frankfort Police at 815-469-9435 and ask for Deputy Chief Keegan.

Original story

A Frankfort home was invaded just before 6 a.m. today by armed robbers.

Frankfort Deputy Police Chief Kevin Keegan said three white or Hispanic males invaded a home in the 1000 block of Prestwick Drive. One of the suspects was armed with a knife and another was believed to have a firearm.

No one was injured in the invasion.

The three entered through a "potential unsecured door," he said.

They fled the scene in a white 4-door vehicle, possibly a Toyota or Lexus.

Will County Sheriff's Department assisted in preparing a sketch of one of the suspects. The other two kept their faces concealed throughout with bandanas, according to Keegan.
