Dr. Price will discuss the proper way to begin and maintain a safe and effective runner’s training program during a free presentation 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at Palos Health & Fitness Center, 15430 West Ave., Orland Park.  He also will explain how to prevent injury and recognize common conditions that can affect runners.
Whether you are considering becoming a runner, just beginning to run, run recreationally or are training for competition, this lecture will provide important information for runners at every level.
Running for Kicks staff will be available to provide proper footwear assessment and advice.
A Palos Community Hospital registered dietitian also will be on hand to provide nutritional consultation to ensure a healthy and productive running season.
