Residents against water tower

Re: Steger Road, 80th Ave water tower approval
A letter was sent to the Village of Frankfort Mayor and Board Members as well as Larry Walsh, Will County Executive Director and Anthony DeLuca, State Representative 80th District regarding the concerns of the Residents of unincorporated Will County who are directly effect by the testing performed and the planned water tower.  During the testing, the Village of Frankfort pumped 600 to 700 gallons per minute from the well they drilled on 80th Ave and Steger Road.  This caused our well to drop 87 feet (It only goes to 150 feet) and our neighbor to the east lost his water supply completely.  Even though the testing showed the Village is stealing our water supply, they announced they are proceeding.  The Village of Frankfort annexed and rezoned this property with the blessing of Larry Walsh to build their Fire Station and now they plan to take our water supply.  According to the Geologist we contacted, based on the data collected so far, it certainly appears that the aquifer being tapped by the Village is shared with my well and all of our Neighbors wells to the east. We are deeply concerned about losing our water source and we want the Village to stop this tampering and draw down effect on our water supply.  This is trespassing in the very least and the harm the Village is causing may be irreparable.  Please join in our plea to stop the damage now and take your drilling elsewhere before we are completely out of water.  If you agree, please write or call Anthony Deluca, State Representative 80th District asking him to present a bill in the House of Representatives to prevent annexing of property to build civil projects and Don't vote for Larry Walsh.  I sent him two letters with NO response. Find him in the pocket of Mayor Holland, if you are looking for him.  Neighbors are placing their homes for sale. The Villae states this is urgently needed.  I think they are trying to get this tower up before homes are built on all the vacant land surrounding this proposed water tower.  People should be outraged at the deceit but, there are few of us.  Just you wait...this  will eventually affect you, too.  Greed has no boundaries.  Fight now!
