ReResurfacing on 80th ave In Frankfort square/Tinley

To start off it is a nice job , but what person decided to include a Bike lane when there are sidewalks on both sides of the street and one of them IS a bike path ? This is a busy street and chewing some of it up for A Bike lane is just waiting for an accident to happen. Then to add insult to the cyclists the north end of the bike lane ends where there is no where to go but down the street as it narrows. I give it a month before someone is hit out there riding a bike . I am a cyclist and you would NEVER catch me riding this stretch of road. Besides as I mentioned earlier there are sidewalks just a few feet from the road. Wonder who's bright idea this was. The time and money (including several bike lane signs) was a waste of public funds.
