Readers' Choice: Who Is Frankfort's Favorite Florist?

With prom and wedding seasons upon us and Mother's Day right around the corner, residents are looking for a good, local flower shop. Tell us who you're loyal to and vote for that store in our poll.

Nothing screams "last minute" to a prom date than a corsage made up of daisies and dandelions picked from the side of the road. And doesn't your mother deserve something a bit more special than an arrangement that still smells like unleaded gasoline because you picked it up the day before at the corner gas station?

READERS' CHOICE: Find Out Which Businesses are Frankfort Favorites

There's no excuse for either situation, especially since Frankfort has its share of quality florists. But who is your favorite?

Now's your chance to tell readers where you go for all your floral needs and give that flower shop a chance at the title of Frankfort's Most Loved Florist. Here's what you need to do:

  1. Click on the name of the shop below and leave a review.
  2. Make sure you show your support by commenting below, telling us why you love that florist.
  3. Vote in the poll below.

The business with a combination of the most poll votes, comments and reviews by 5 p.m. Friday, May 11, will win. Visit the Patch business directory to learn about Frankfort florists by clicking on the names below:

Is it wrong? Of course it is wrong, how shallow are you going to become to win a contest? If you think these comments are winning you some votes I would think again. First off because there are plenty of people (obvious you are too ignorant to even notice) that support gay marriage and think that people like you are the trash of society. Is it your decision? Is it hurting you? No-- if you don't approve then keep your arrogant comments to yourself because quite frankly they are not needed and definitely are not necessary. Second.. what the heck does this have to do with being the best florist? Are we going back to the day when only a certain race, gender and now gays or straights are allowed to do things? I thought we were over this time... apparently there are still adults that have a lot of growing up to do. Definitely not a way to gain customers because we all know who you are voting for/

@Everyone: I'd like to apologize for a reader's behavior in this comments section that crossed the line with harassing remarks. I deleted an earlier comment, but that reader's bad behavior escalated, and she has since been banned from commenting. In the past, I've used a national blogger's description of comments sections as dinner parties to characterize the type of atmosphere I try to maintain on Patch. The commenters are the guests, and the site's editor is the host. Debate is encouraged, disagreements are accepted, but rudeness, vulgarity and harassment are not tolerated. Now, resume heaping your praise and support on your favorite florist. In fact, all the florists mentioned here should feel really lucky to have such loyal customers. Joe Vince Local Editor, Frankfort

Tammy, I agree. The comments posted by that particular person was outrageous. Very sophomoric comments and I for one am glad that person was banned.
