Readers' Choice: Which Auto Repair Shop is Your Favorite?

No one likes bringing his or her car into the shop. That's why having a trusted mechanic is a good thing. Vote for your favorite auto repair shop and tell us why you like it.

With the weather warming up, now is a perfect time to get your car tuned up and make sure it's running well for the Chicago area's next season. Construction season, that is.

At Frankfort Patch, we want readers to tell us what auto repair shop is their favorite. Vote for your favorite one in our poll and share with readers why you like it in the comments section. Voting ends April 14

While you're at it, give a shout out to the bar and restaurant your favorite bartender works at in our Patch Places business directory. Think of your recommendation as a public service, telling residents the best places to go in Frankfort.

Here's a list of auto repair shops in the area:

  • Book Racing Inc.
  • Frankfort Muffler & Auto

Thanks to Susan Mikoff Thedens for mentioning Malley's Discount Tire and Autocare on our Facebook page. I've added the shop to the poll, and it will be coming to the directory soon. Joe Vince Local Editor, Frankfort

Jack's Automotive in New Lenox! I will never go anywhere else after the wonderful service that was provided there. I have even sent a few of my co-workers his way.

You don't mention the best mechanic in town, Ed at Frankfort Muffler on Laraway Rd, next door to Woody. Fair prices, excellent work, works on foreign and domestic. He did front end work on my Excursion, the Dealer wanted $2900, Ed fixed it for $1300. Ken Chemers

You left off the best of the best. We have been using BOOK RACING for many years and every one we`ve sent there has been happy too. Just tell Roberto that Darah sent you. ;-)

I agree. I took my SUV over to my dealer to check out a problem. Told me I needed a $900 repair. Got a second opinion from Last Chance and saved myself a needless repair bill. (It just needed some minor tweaking.) Never again will I go back to the dealer as long as Last Chance is in business!

Book Racing is, hands-down, the best automotive repair shop in the area. I've been bringing my vehicles there for 11 years and I trust them completely. Highly skilled, passionate and honest. What more could you ask for?!
