Summit Hill Junior High Cheerleaders take top spot at ICCA State Championships

On Saturday, February 9, 2013, the Summit Hill Junior High Cheerleaders took top honors at the ICCA State Championships held in Springfield.  Taking the state championiship was a goal that the team set for themselves in the beginning of the year and through hard work and dedication they achieved their goal.  Being ICCA State Champions capped off a stellar year which also included taking first place at the IESA Championships.

A big thanks to all who have made this incredible season possible - the  team, the parents, the school district, their coach, Lisa Carlton, their tumbling coach, Matteo Alfano, and their Choreographer, Chris White.  

Members of the Cheerleading Squad are:  (7th grade) Kayla Ballard, Marissa DeMeo, Kelly Hausner, Lauren Laird, Abby McMann, Brooke Mergenthaler, Bridget Millerick, Amber Pluzycki, Olivia Sterchele, Sydney Zilinskas; (8th grade) Abbey Devlin, Lexi Ehrhart, Taylor Vanderlaan, Kyra Krugman, Christa Mack, Hailey Maksymiak, Kaitlyn Moylan, Sam Myers, Julia Piper, Natalie Slobodnik, Maddie Smith, Bailey Sylvester, Lauren Williams.
