Summit Hill Junior High cheerleaders take first place at the IESA State Cheerleading Championships

Hard work and dedication pays off for Summit Hill Junior High cheerleaders

The Summit Hill Junior High cheerleaders took top honors at the IESA State Cheerleading Championship held in Peoria on Saturday, January 19th.  This is the second first place finish for the team with the girls previously placing first in 2011 and second in 2012.  Summit Hill Junior High competed against fifteen other large routine squads from the state of Illinois and each squad worked very hard.  In the end, the results showed the Summit Hill Junior High cheerleaders on top which is a great success for the team and school.  We are so proud of the girls' hard work and dedication.  Because of this great accomplishment, the Summit Hill cheerleaders will be heading the IHSA State Cheerleading Competition on Saturday, February 2, 2013, to showcase their first place accomplishment.  The Summit Hill Junior High cheerleaders are coached by Lisa Carlson.
