HILDA WALKER STUDENTS SPEND THE DAY HONORING VETERANS

"This Land Is Your Land"

On November 9, 2012, over 70 veterans were on hand at Hilda Walker Intermediate School to be honored for their service to our country.  Members of the Hilda Walker Wildcat Choir kicked off the day by singing “This Land is Your Land” at the beginning of the morning announcements.  Veterans then spent time sharing memories with students about their military service.  Following the presentations, students hosted a luncheon for all of those in attendance.  The day’s activities culminated in a ceremony honoring all veterans.

Hilda Walker Intermediate School houses fifth and sixth grade students from Tinley Park, Frankfort, and Mokena who attend Summit Hill Public School District 161.
