Making Christmas Presents from Home Depot with Santa

Home Depot comes to local special needs school with donated holiday crafts for the students. Santa & Mrs. Claus come along to help!

On Dec. 10th, staff from the Home Depot's "Kids Workshop" in Frankfort came to Pioneer Grove Educational Center to assist the special needs students with a holiday craft project.  Pioneer Grove is part of Lincoln-Way Area Special Education, District 843.  Santa and Mrs. Claus were also in attendance!

Home Depot donated picture frame kits for the students to make as gifts for their parents.  The staff from Home Depot volunteered their time and effort also to assist the children with the assembly and decoration of the picture frames.  After the kits were assembled, each child chose how they wanted their frame decorated.

Photos of the students were taken with Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Home Depot staff to put into the frames to finalize the project.  The picture frames and photos turned out exquisitely!

Pioneer Grove wants to thank The Home Depot staff, Santa and Mrs. Claus, for taking the time during this busy holiday season to help the students create their own personalized gifts that they are so very proud to have made.  The children can't wait until Christmas to give them to their parents!
