Frankfort Falcons JV White Take On the Joliet Raiders

As most of Frankfort was enjoying the parade on Sunday, the Frankfort Falcon White team traveled to Joliet Stadium to take on the Joliet Raiders. The B Game started with some hard hitting tackles by Chris Kaminski, Preston Harper, Gehrig Batson, Nathan Miller, Killian O’Hanlon, Evan McDermed, Troy Lyke, Jared Gold, Blake DeButch, Jimmy Schmidt and Chase Walsh; with assists by Ian McCormick and Lucas Weaver. The defensive wall, it was no easy task for Joliet to score. The offense was just as fierce with Jimmy Schmidt running the ball for 29 yards and Glenn Harris running the ball for 37 yards. Also assisting in moving the ball to the end zone, with a combined 20 yards were Declan Carr, Chase Walsh, Caden Piotrowski, and Andrew Brozovic. The Falcon O-line was key in blocking making way for the running game.

The main event did not disappoint with an offense line that was unstoppable.  The Falcons running game had some big numbers with Nigel Muhammad ran for 32 yards, and Brett Melby running for 25 yards. Not to mention Evan McDermed, Jimmy Huguelet, Glenn Harris, Declan Carr and Chris Kaminski, racking up an additional 44 yards. Both quarterbacks, Bobby Hawkinson and Shea McGivern were taking turns throwing some bullets to their receivers. Nicky Zelenika ran the ball for 41 yards, and Nigel Muhammad and Declan Carr were able to get 16 more yards. 

The Falcon defensive line was impassable, crippling the Joliet offense. Each time Joliet tried to run or pass the ball, they were stopped. Nigel Muhammad, Jake Polka, Nicky Zelenika, Blake DeButch, Lucas Weaver, Evan McDermed, Jimmy Huguelet, Killian O’Hanlon, Glenn Harris, Nathan Miller, Brendan Morrissey, Declan Carr and Nick Zavis had a combined 28 tackles. With Brett Melby kicking for a total of 172 yards, the Raiders had a difficult time competing.  The final score of the game was Frankfort Falcons White 26 over Joliet Raiders 6.

Next week the Frankfort Falcon White team will play the Lemont Hornets at the Main Park.
