No Guns Allowed signs ... well sort of.

Well, the Illinois State Police finally published the official "No Concealed Carry Allowed" signs this weekend.

Store owners and restaurants can now post these signs at the door to prohibit all law abiding concealed carry people from spending any money in their store.

I hope business is really good for them.  Anytime you can tell over 400,000+ potential customers, you don't want their business, it better be really good.

Ohio, Wisconsin and pretty much every other state that passed CCW went through the same thing.  For the first few months almost everybody puts up a "no guns allowed" sign.

Then two things have happened in other states.
1. Gun owners start leaving little cards, sometimes with a copy of a receipt from their competitor, telling the owner they went to another place that trusts them, with their family and wallets to spend their money.

2. Sooner or later a store gets robbed by somebody that doesn't have a CCW permit, FOID card or the 16 hours of required training, and ignored the sign as well as all the other laws.

Then the signs start to quietly disappear and ... nothing bad happens. There's a reason that not one state that has passed concealed carry has even tried to repeal it.
