Sweet Win for Attack 16s Volleyball Team

In its first test of the new club volleyball season, the Attack 16 Select team battled to win five matches in late December to be named champions of the Power League Holiday Warm-up hosted at The Diggz in Hobart, IN.

“Overall it was great to see the chemistry of all of the girls. They set a goal at the beginning of the day to win and play their best, and I believe that they reached that goal with each player contributing to every win,” said Coach Jason Braglia, who is also a coach at Lincoln-Way Central High School.

Cyle Harrison (Homewood-Flossmoor High School) and Ally Carey (Sandburg High School) led the team offensively, while Gabby Christie (Sandburg High School) led the team defensively. Colleen Murphy (Marist High School) and Rachel Boden (Andrew High School) led the team both in assists and aces.

“The girls' hard work makes it very exciting to see what they can accomplish for the rest of the season," Braglia added.

In January, the team begins playing in the Windy City Power League, a three-month competition that rewards the top teams with bids to USA Nationals.
