Heroic New Lenox Girl to be honored at Chicago Wolves Game

Alex Sheridan will be honored for possibly saving her mother's life.

A New Lenox girl credited with saving her mother's life will be honored at a Chicago Wolves hockey game.

Alex Sheridan, 10, will be celebrated Saturday.

Alex's mother, Jen Sheridan, lapsed into a diabetic coma while driving in Frankfort last year. Alex's quick thinking and fast-action likely saved their lives.

Jen Sheridan is still recovering from a recent pancreas transplant, according to a Kathrynne Skonicki. The family is going to Disney World in March as part of a Make-A-Wish trip for Alex’s brother, who has cerebral-palsy, Skonicki said.
