There will also be singing and refreshments.

The Village of Frankfort's Christmas tree will be lit Thursday.

The 6:30 p.m. ceremony on Breidert Green will start with a welcome from Mayor Jim Holland.

The Hickory Creek Middle School choir and Lincoln-Way East singers will perform, and Mayor Holland and the village board will count down to the lighting.

Refreshments will be served by the Lincoln-Way East Interact Club and Santa Claus is rumored to be planning on making an appearance.
