The Patrick Mizwicki Strive for 5 Foundation's 5K Walk and Fun Run

Patrick Mizwicki, who died tragically Sept. 15, 2011, will not be forgotten.

The Patrick Mizwicki Strive for 5 Foundation 5K Walk and Fun Run begins at 8 a.m. June 1 at Breidert Green, Kansas and White streets in downtown Frankfort.

The Lincoln-Way East freshman was struck and killed by a car during a cross-country practice at a Cook County Forest Preserve in Palos Township. Patrick was the youngest of eight children born to New Lenox’s Ray and JoAnne Mizwicki.  

The Patrick Mizwicki Strive for 5 Foundation is established as a scholarship fund in his memory. All proceeds go to Lincoln-Way East scholarships to fund developing youth mentoring and community service projects.  Details can be found the foundation website.
