FHBA Supports Small Business Saturday

The Frankfort Historic Business Association is proud to support American Express' "Small Business Saturday" campaign.

Small Business Saturday...the day we all shop small...was first promoted by American Express in 2010. In 2012 consumers spent an estimated $5.5 billion on the Saturday after Thanksgiving while patronizing small, local businesses, according to a Redshift Research study.

This year, Small Business Saturday is November 30, and participating FHBA merchants will be offering special one-day-only deals to encourage shoppers to give up the post-Thanksgiving mall crush and visit charming, historic Frankfort. The stores will be fully decorated for the holidays, and the downtown will be decorated in lights, courtesy of the Village of Frankfort. Mayor Jim Holland will also issue a proclamation declaring November 30, 2013, Small Business Saturday at the November 18 village board meeting.

The weekend before Thanksgiving, November 23-24, FHBA merchants welcome shoppers to town with the Home for the Holidays Preview Weekend. Stores will be showing off their hospitality and their "best of the best" seasonal offerings with special promotions, as well. Come on down...town and see what's in store!
