Biomimicry: A Future of Natural Sustainable Design for Society and You

Where have our recent technological advancements gotten us? While we are advancing, we are also destroying habitats, resources, and other species as well as harming human health. There is a wave of engineers and designers looking to nature and biologists for inspired sustainable design. Michelle Zurawski, Associate Professor of Biology and Sustainability Coordinator of Teaching & Learning at Moraine Valley Community College, will give a PowerPoint presentation exploring why this idea of biomimicry might be important and how it might inform your daily life.
