All Aboard! Family Dining & Amusement Grand Opening Celebration

Come and celebrate the new ownership of Frankfort's favorite train inspired diner, All Aboard! Family Dining & Amusement. 

All Aboard! Family Dining & Amusement is making its debut official this month, with a two-day grand opening celebration scheduled for July 10th and 11th. Festivities include a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Frankfort Chamber of Commerce, visits from Thomas the Train, face painting, a magician performance, and raffles for children and adults. Kids will receive a balloon and scoop of ice cream.

All Aboard! Family Dining & Amusement is formerly known as Train Car Tommy’s, and originated as Choo Choo Johnny’s. All in all, the family restaurant has been catering to Frankfort diners for fifteen years. 

The new owners, newlyweds Tony & Teffini Chiuso, are thrilled to apply their unique expertise to enhance All Aboard! Family Dining & Amusement. Tony’s background as a special education teacher lends itself well to creating an atmosphere in which children will thrive. Teffini has spent over a decade in the Chicago service industry and understands the details that drive a successful restaurant. 

The Chiuso’s combination of experience contributes to the modernization of the family diner.  They started by delivering new life to the space. First, an eye-catching, panoramic 3-D mural gives the dining room some excitement. The mural, hand-painted by local artist, Rene Rodriguez, depicts a train as it travels through downtown Frankfort. Additionally, there is a newly constructed play room and upgraded trains running throughout the restaurant. 

The biggest focus, however, has been increasing the quality of the food. “When we took over the restaurant, we wanted to see less frozen and more fresh ingredients being used,” shared Teffini. Hamburgers are hand-packed in house, the meatballs are made from scratch, and the corned beef is slow roasted. Seasonal salads, like the Strawberry Chicken Salad which features mixed greens, ripe strawberries, and fresh avocado, are a nice addition for people who are looking for lighter options. House specialties also include homemade corn fritters with a spicy dipping sauce and an apple fritter sundae for dessert. Parents appreciate healthy side dish options like fresh fruit and broccoli. Even the kids menu has expanded, now offering items like individual pizzas.  

All Aboard! Family Dining & Amusement encourages groups and families to spend special occasions at the diner. A perfect place for children’s birthday parties, troop outings, and school field trips, All Aboard! Family Dining & Amusement has several dining options that appeal to large groups. Choose from specialty burgers and sandwiches or surprise your guests with something unique, like a taco bar, homemade chili bar, or appetizer buffet. The restaurant is even available for private use, for an additional charge. 

Tony and Teffini invite you to visit All Aboard! Family Dining & Amusement. You may find their coupons in local publications and online. On Monday nights after 3:00 pm, families can take advantage of Kids Eat Free, a promotion that will run until September 30th. For every paying adult, a child will receive one free item off of the Menu for Little Conductors.
