COMPUTERTOTS – ANIMALS AND DINOSAURS

Thursdays, November 29 – December 20, 4:00 – 4:45 pm at Founders Community Center

This national program was developed by educators to engage inquisitive minds and has been featured on CNN and in Parents Magazine. In this fun and educational class, children will learn about animals using a combination of computer software and crafts. As they improve their computer skills, children will learn about animals and dinosaurs in a fun way that encourages reading and math readiness.  They’ll use their creativity and imagination during the last few minutes of each class to create animal puppets, special projects and creature books which they will take home.   Instructor: Computer Explorers  Ages: 3 – 5  Fee: $59/NR $64

STAR WARS vs. TRANSFORMERS – INTER-GALACTIC MOVIEMAKING

Thursdays, November 29 – December 20, 5:00 – 6:30 pm at Founders Community Center with the help of COMPUTER EXPLORERS, you will create your very own movie using special digital movie making cameras and software.  Who will rule the universe in your movie, will it be the characters from Star Wars™ or Transformers™?  As directors and producers we will work in teams to create our own story and script, build various Star Wars or Transformers scenes using Legos® and other props.  We will use stop motion animation, add voices and music, and preview our movie for family and friends on the last day of class.   If you are creative, this is your chance to show off your directing skills! All students will receive a copy of their movie on a CD after class is complete.  Ages: 8-12  Fee: $85/NR $90
